Year 3 at a welcoming primary school in Putney.

This rewarding role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or is looking to build a career in education, psychology, speech and language therapy, or related fields.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with autism.
  • Help the child access learning both in and out of the classroom.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Encourage the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is desirable.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
  • What You'll Need
  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based, care, coaching, or voluntary experience welcomed).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
