Year 3 at a welcoming primary school in Putney.
This rewarding role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or is looking to build a career in education, psychology, speech and language therapy, or related fields.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with autism.
- Help the child access learning both in and out of the classroom.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Encourage the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is desirable.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
- What You'll Need
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based, care, coaching, or voluntary experience welcomed).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
- The Right to Work in the UK.
