Location: Wandsworth, South West London

Pay: Β£100-Β£120 per day

SEN Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are working with an inclusive mainstream primary school in Wandsworth who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their classroom team from September.

The successful candidate will provide classroom-based support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop greater confidence and independence.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
  • Support pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
  • Reinforce strategies and targets set by the class teacher and SENDCo.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Support pupils with their social and emotional development.
  • Adapt resources and activities where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

About You

  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • SEN experience is desirable.
  • Patient, calm and consistent approach.
  • Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about inclusive education.
  • Reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress.
