Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be experienced in supporting secondary-aged pupils and confident leading whole-class learning. As a

, you will need strong behaviour management skills, the ability to build positive relationships quickly, and the flexibility to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across core curriculum subjects.
- Cover lessons across English, Maths and Science.
- Support students with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams.
- Monitor student engagement and provide feedback on progress.
- Support students on a one-to-one and small-group basis where required.
- Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a
Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom-cover role.
- Experience supporting secondary-aged students.
- Confidence delivering lessons across English, Maths and Science.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
