We are looking for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support in a Secondary SEN setting in South Liverpool. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand. You'll be joining a supportive, inclusive school that puts wellbeing and community at the centre of everything they do. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs
  • Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
  • Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources
  • Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children is essential
  • Previous experience supporting in a school setting or similar
  • Understanding of ASD
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support
