We are recruiting a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the L23 area. The school supports pupils aged 11-16 with a wide range of needs, including special educational needs, visual impairments, sensory needs, and complex learning needs. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand. You will be joining a supportive, inclusive school that puts wellbeing and community at the centre of everything they do. Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting with learning activities, communication, and sensory development
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Following individual care plans and behaviour support strategies

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • A genuine passion for working within SEND
  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
  • Ability to commit to full-time or part-time hours
  • Reliable, patient, and confident working in a specialist setting
