We're currently recruiting for a Learning Mentor to join a Primary School in Liverpool, starting in September.
You'll be joining an inclusive school, focused on inclusion and wellbeing. The school is based in the L12 area of Liverpool

Your main responsibilities will include
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with students.
- Provide mentoring and pastoral support to individuals and small groups.
- Support children in either KS1 or KS2 classes to access learning and achieve their educational targets.
- Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem and positive coping strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour positively and consistently.
- Support students during lessons, transitions, breaktimes and enrichment activities as required.
Requirements or Skills
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational, nursery, social care, community, or volunteer role or similar in the last 12 months.
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, care, mentoring or support setting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional and resilient in challenging situations.
- Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
