Learning Mentor
Are you a resilient, empathetic professional with a passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs? We're seeking a Learning Mentor to join a dynamicsupporting Secondary aged pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH for a school in South Liverpool.
This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
You'll be joining a supportive, inclusive school that puts wellbeing and community at the centre of everything they do. It's a good fit for someone who wants to become a familiar face in a school that values consistency.
What you'll do:
- Build trusted relationships with pupils aged 11-16, offering emotional and academic support
- Model positive behaviours and attitudes, setting clear boundaries and expectations
- Support pupils with SEMH needs through tailored interventions and mentoring
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote progress and wellbeing
- Help pupils re-engage with learning and prepare for transitions back to mainstream or specialist settings
What weโre looking for:
- Proven experience working with children or young people
- Calm, confident presence and strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to be a consistent role model and advocate for vulnerable learners
- Team player with a flexible, solution-focused approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
