Behaviour Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a resilient and empathetic Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support secondary aged children and young adults in an SEMH Specialist School in South Liverpool.

About the Role
- Supporting primary‑aged pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Using de‑escalation strategies to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Assisting with activity‑based lessons and interventions designed to re‑engage learners.
- Working closely with teachers and the wider PRU team to provide consistent support.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can succeed.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a PRU or specialist setting.
- Strong de‑escalation and behaviour management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience – with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
- Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with staff and families.
