What does a PE Teacher do?

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities based on your specialist knowledge
  • Create an inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate
  • Develop students' physical skills, fitness, confidence, teamwork, and resilience
  • Manage classroom and sporting behaviour effectively, promoting positive attitudes
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
  • Encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities and school sports
  • Build positive relationships with students and inspire a genuine interest in physical activity
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider PE department and school community

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
  • A degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject
  • Strong knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
