We're currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive primary school or early years setting across Leeds on a long or short-term basis, with flexible start dates available. You'll be joining an inclusive setting that places early development, wellbeing and positive relationships at the heart of everything they do. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children to build the foundations for a successful education.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage with their learning and development
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities linked to the EYFS framework
- Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development
- Observing and assessing children's progress and providing feedback to the wider team
- Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting children through play-based learning and exploration
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Working alongside teachers and other practitioners to meet individual children's needs
- Supporting children with SEND and adapting activities where required
Requirements or Skills:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education or a related subject
- Recent experience working within an Early Years or childcare setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring and nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
- Comfortable working as part of a wider team
