Are you a Drama graduate who would like to work in Primary schools and SEND schools in Leeds with children with Autism and challenging behaviours?
Your responsibilities would be:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
- Provide support to students with special needs.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
Skills required:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.
