What does a Design Technology Teacher do?
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach within your specialist area, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Food Technology
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
- Deliver practical lessons safely and effectively, following relevant health and safety procedures
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive learning attitudes
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
- Inspire students to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills
- Build positive relationships with students and encourage a genuine interest in Design Technology
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider Design Technology department and school community

What we're looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
- A degree in Design Technology or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge within your specialist area
- Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for inspiring and motivating young people
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- ECTs are welcome to apply!
