Ready to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning? Milk Education is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Explorer Coaches to support children across Primary Schools in Sunderland and South Tyneside. This is the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young learners navigate their educational journey, build confidence in the classroom, and overcome barriers to learning.

As a Learning Explorer Coach, you'll work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within the classroom environment, providing encouragement, guidance, and tailored support to help every child reach their full potential. Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Delivering engaging intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
  • Building positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence
  • Supporting children with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs
  • Helping to create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress

We are looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth work, sports coaching, care, mentoring, tutoring, or similar settings
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
