Primary Schools in Durham are seeking KS2 SATs Learning Support Assistants to start ASAP, with multiple roles available. The working hours are Monday to Friday, term time only, with a pay rate of £107.70 per day.

You will work closely with Year 6 pupils, providing targeted intervention, small group support, and one-to-one guidance to help children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in Reading, Writing, Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation (SPaG), and Mathematics.

  • Helping pupils develop effective revision and study strategies
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teachers
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Acting as a positive role model within the classroom
  • Supporting classroom routines and maintaining an engaging learning environment
