Location: Huyton (L36) and Stockbridge Village (L28), Knowsley.
Milk Education are working with a primary school in Huyton and Stockbridge Village seeking a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant to work 1‑2‑1 with a child in Year 1 who has Autism and lower ability learning needs. This role starts immediately and will be a temporary, long‑term role until July 2026. Hours: 08:30 am – 15:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Keeping the child on task
- Ensuring the work is done to a good standard
- Preparing resources for the day
- Providing a patient and nurturing learning environment
Role & Responsibilities:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch‑up sessions
Non‑negotiables:
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- Must be reliable and punctual
