Milk Education are recruiting for a Pastoral Support Assistant to join a primary school in Kingston from October. The role will involve supporting pupils with their wellbeing, engagement and day-to-day school experience, working closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team.
The Role
- Support pupils with their social and emotional development.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
- Help pupils manage behaviour and emotions positively.
- Encourage positive relationships and engagement.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff.
- Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
About You
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Previous school experience is desirable.
- Patient, approachable and supportive.
- Confident managing challenging situations calmly.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Reliable and committed to supporting pupils.
