Hours:Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-5PM Friday 8:30AM-3:30PM
The Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join a well-established engineering business in Irlam.
You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC Turner, producing components accurately from engineering drawings and working to required tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC Turner
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Set tooling, offsets, chucks and machine parameters
- Carry out first-off and dimensional checks
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs
- Maintain quality and safety standards
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' CNC turning/machining experience or time-served apprenticeship
- Able to read, understand and edit ISO turning programs
- Strong CNC programming and setting knowledge
- Live tooling and sub-spindle experience advantageous
- Good understanding of tooling and insert selection
- CMM and PTFE machining experience advantageous
- Proven experience within Fanuc and Doosan controls
