We are recruiting for a Primary Teacher for a primary school in Hindley Green (WN2) to work on a long-term basis starting September 2026. The temporary KS1 PPA Teacher role is to start in September 2026 until February 2027. This KS1 PPA Teacher role is working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:00. The role involves working across Year 1 & Year 2, covering PPA as required. You will be given a timetable to follow each week, and you will work closely with the class teachers and support staff whilst undertaking PPA.
Responsibilities
- Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
- Guiding children through the curriculum and marking work
- Managing behaviour
- Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Qualifications / Non-negotiables
- You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
- Hold QTS
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Be passionate and understanding
- Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
- Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
- Good communication skills
