We are currently recruiting SEND Support Workers to work in welcoming and inclusive schools, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity for compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a SEND Support Worker, you'll work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be vital in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Supporting students both in the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver personalised support.
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Promoting safeguarding and the wellbeing of every young person.
