Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom activities and adapting learning resources.
- Delivering targeted interventions and catch-up sessions to help students build confidence and close learning gaps.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and engaged.
- Building positive relationships with students, staff and families to support students' academic and personal development.
Requirements or Skills
- Due to graduate this year or already hold a degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Sociology, Criminology, Sports Science or a related subject.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience working with children or young people through volunteering, tutoring, coaching, mentoring or similar is desirable but not essential.
- Confident working as part of a team and taking direction from teaching staff.
