We're looking for a caring and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across secondary schools in Gateshead. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to students with additional needs, helping them build confidence, independence and achieve their potential.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN.

Supporting learning, engagement and classroom participation.

Working alongside teachers and the SENCO to meet individual needs.

Supporting students with their wellbeing, confidence and independence.
Requirements or Skills:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.

Understanding of additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication needs.

Patient, compassionate and confident approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
