Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Whickham to recruit passionate Psychology Graduates to support pupils with SEND from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands‑on experience within a supportive school environment while making a real difference to children's learning and wellbeing.

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
  • Support children with their learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Encourage engagement and independence throughout the school day.
  • Behaviour & Wellbeing
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Teamwork & Professional Practice
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

  • A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
