Milk Education are partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Enfield to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated inclusion team. This rewarding opportunity is perfect for a motivated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping young people build confidence, develop key skills and achieve success in the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide personalised support for students who require additional assistance with their learning. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of their needs or abilities, can access a high-quality education and reach their potential.

The Role

  • Providing classroom-based support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Working as a Learning Support Assistant to help pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
  • Supporting students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties
  • Delivering targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and adapting learning resources
  • Encouraging independence and helping students develop effective learning strategies
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Contributing to student progress reviews and maintaining accurate records where required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Support Worker
  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enthusiasm for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed
