Milk Education is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Enfield. This Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting Year 6 pupils through targeted interventions, academic support, and mentoring as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping children build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their full potential during a crucial stage of their education.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support Year 6 pupils in the classroom and through small-group interventions
- Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
- Provide mentoring and pastoral support to help pupils develop confidence and resilience
- Work closely with the class teacher to identify learning gaps and support progress
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Assist pupils in preparing for SATs and the transition to secondary school
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will Have:
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children
- Experience delivering interventions or small-group support
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The Right to Work in the UK
