We're currently recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Darlington on a long- or short-term basis starting after Easter.

Main responsibilities of Early Years Teaching Assistant will include:

  • Supporting pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including those with SEND
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging Early Years activities and lessons
  • Helping maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Preparing classroom resources and supporting daily routines
  • Supporting behaviour management and encouraging pupil engagement

Requirements or Skills of Early Years Teaching Assistant:

  • Recent experience working in a school or nursery setting
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar β€” or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
