We are currently hiring Teaching Assistants to join Primary Schools based across North Durham.

These roles are on a Day-to-Day/Part Time basis, ideal for those who already have a part time job or are just looking for a bit of work to keep them busy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
  • Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
  • Inspire children to engage in lessons consistently
  • Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies

Requirements or Skills

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands‑on experience (preferred)
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning
  • Patience and a calm approach to assisting others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
