Intervention Teaching Assistant - Croydon
Location: Croydon
Pay: £100-£120 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: October 2026
Milk Education are looking for an enthusiastic Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Croydon from October. The successful candidate will provide targeted support to pupils through individual and small-group interventions, helping children build confidence and make progress with their learning.
The Role
- Deliver planned interventions to individuals and small groups.
- Support pupils with literacy and numeracy skills.
- Reinforce learning from classroom lessons.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Adapt activities to suit individual learning needs.
- Support the class teacher when required.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children in a school setting.
- Experience delivering interventions is desirable.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Patient and encouraging approach.
- Confident working with individuals and small groups.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, organised and proactive.
- Passionate about helping pupils make progress.
