Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Croydon
Location: Croydon, South West London
Pay: £120-£145 per day
Contract: Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term
Milk Education are working with a supportive primary school in Croydon who are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced classroom practitioner who is confident supporting learning independently and taking responsibility for whole-class and small-group activities.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
- Lead small-group and intervention sessions.
- Support teaching and learning across the classroom.
- Work with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
- Provide additional support with English and Maths.
- Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
- Work closely with class teachers to support pupil progress.
- Assist with preparing resources and learning activities.
About You
- Previous experience as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant.
- Strong classroom experience within a primary school.
- Confident leading learning independently.
- Excellent behaviour management.
- Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
