Milk Education is recruiting Primary Cover Supervisors to work across welcoming schools in Durham from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers and experienced education professionals who are confident leading a classroom and want to gain valuable experience before progressing into teaching.
You'll step into classrooms, deliver pre-planned lessons and keep pupils engaged, focused and motivated throughout the school day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervising classes while the regular teacher is unavailable.
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities .
- Keeping pupils engaged and on task.
- Supporting different learning abilities and needs.
- Managing classroom behaviour positively and confidently.
- Helping pupils complete their assigned work.
- Creating a calm, positive learning environment.
- Working alongside teaching and support staff.
- Providing feedback to the class teacher where appropriate.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Is confident, organised and approachable .
- Has excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Can confidently lead a class independently.
- Has experience working with children or young people.
