- Pastoral Officer to join one of our partner secondary schools in
- South Yorkshire on a full-time basis, starting
ASAP .

Working closely with the school's pastoral and safeguarding teams, you'll provide day-to-day support for students, helping to improve attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children and young people who is passionate about helping every student reach their full potential.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Providing pastoral support to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Building positive relationships with students to promote wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.
- Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
- Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, following up where appropriate.
- Working closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads, and parents to support positive outcomes.
- Supporting the implementation of behaviour and pastoral support plans.
- Responding to welfare concerns and escalating safeguarding issues in line with school procedures.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Requirements or Skills
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, youth work, or pastoral setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach when supporting students.
- Ability to manage challenging situations professionally and confidently.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education).
