We're currently recruiting for Graduate Teaching Assistants in Hulme to support welcoming secondary schools on a full-time or part-time basis. This role is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching, education, psychology, youth work or supporting young people.

You'll be joining a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Hulme, where student wellbeing, inclusion and positive relationships are valued. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to gain meaningful classroom experience, develop transferable skills and become a familiar face within a school community.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis
  • Working alongside class teachers to support learning, engagement and progress
  • Helping deliver catch-up and intervention sessions, particularly within Maths, English or Science
  • Supporting students with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence and independence
  • Providing general classroom and pastoral support where required

Requirements or Skills:

  • A recent university degree - all degree subjects considered
  • Based in or able to commute to Hulme
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and positive attitude
  • Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
  • A willingness to complete relevant CPD and training
