The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help deliver high-quality learning experiences. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress, well-being, and personal development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting with the delivery of lessons and targeted interventions
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH where appropriate
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation
- Supervising pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
- Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children
- Has experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Is committed to inclusion and supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds
- Works well as part of a team and takes initiative
- Communicates clearly and professionally
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
