Milk Education is currently recruiting a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Bury for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education and helping them build strong foundations for future learning.
In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with the class teacher to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can develop socially, emotionally and academically.
Your Role
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS Framework
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning and development
- Encourage children's communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills through structured and child-led activities
- Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's personal, social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence
- Assist with observations and contribute to assessing children's progress where appropriate
- Prepare learning resources and maintain an organised, inviting classroom environment
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour throughout the school day
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children in an Early Years, nursery, preschool or primary school setting
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)
- Is warm, patient and passionate about supporting young children's development
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Can build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
- Is proactive, reliable and eager to learn
- Has an understanding of safeguarding, or is willing to complete relevant training

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
