  • SEND Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND School in

Bolton . This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You'll be working in a specialist educational setting that is dedicated to supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or another child-focused profession.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and confidence throughout the school day.
  • Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assisting with personal care where required, depending on individual pupil needs.

Requirements or Skills

  • A degree in any subject.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
