We're currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Bolton on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis.
You'll be joining a progressive and pupil-centred school, committed to providing a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Leading whole-class, small-group and targeted learning activities where required.
- Providing targeted support for pupils who require additional help with their learning.
- Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Covering classes and delivering pre-planned lessons when required.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual pupil needs.
- Building positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Requirements or Skills:
- Level 4 qualification or relevant HLTA experience.
- Recent experience working within a primary school setting.
- Confidence supporting learning across different year groups.
- Experience working with pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Ability to lead learning activities independently and confidently.
- A positive and adaptable approach to working with children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a school team.
