We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Bolton to join welcoming secondary schools on a long-term, short-term, or temp-to-perm basis. Your Main Responsibilities
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, responding to their individual learning needs
- Delivering intervention and catch-up sessions to help students close learning gaps
- Working alongside teachers to support lesson delivery and adapt learning resources where required
- Promoting an inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and encouraged to succeed
- Supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and additional learning needs where appropriate
- Building positive relationships with students, teachers, and pastoral staff to improve engagement and confidence
Requirements or Skills
- A recent university graduate - all degree subjects considered
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
- Recent experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working collaboratively as part of a team
- Based in or able to commute to Bolton
