As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and students, providing tailored support that enables every learner to thrive both academically and personally.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Helping pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs to access the curriculum.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Building trusting relationships with students, staff and families.

We would love to hear from candidates who have

  • Experience supporting children or young people in education, childcare, youth work or similar settings.
  • A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence supporting students with a range of additional needs.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or transferable experience are desirable but not essential.
