The Role
As a Classroom Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring learning continues in the absence of the regular class teacher. You'll supervise pupils as they complete pre-set work, maintain a positive and productive classroom environment and support students to stay engaged throughout the lesson.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and following instructions provided by teaching staff
- Encouraging pupils to remain focused, motivated, and on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing support and guidance to pupils where appropriate
- Reporting lesson outcomes, behaviour, and student engagement back to teaching staff
- Promoting a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment
- Acting as a positive role model for young people

What We’re Looking For

- A degree in any subject is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence supervising groups of pupils and managing behaviour
