The predicted salary is between 31650 - 43607 £ per year.
We are recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher for a Primary School in Atherton (M46) to work on a long-term basis! The temporary Year 6 Teacher role starts immediately until July 2026, with the possibility of continued work in September 2026. The role works 5 full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am‑16:00pm. There are 30 children in the class with one full‑time TA working one‑to‑one with a SEND child.
The school seeks someone with previous KS2 teaching experience and strong behaviour management skills.
Your role & responsibilities:
- Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
- Guiding students through the curriculum, marking work, setting homework tasks
- Managing behaviour
- Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables:
- Relevant experience teaching pupils
- Hold QTS
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Be passionate and understanding
- Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
- Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
- Good communication skills
