- Milk Education is working with a primary school in
Atherton (M46) who are seeking a full-time Reception Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child who has Autism.
This Reception Teaching Assistant role is to start in September 2026 and will be a temporary, long-term role.
The hours of work are 08:30am - 15:30pm, Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.
The role involves keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard.
You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensuring the child's needs are being met.
In this Reception Teaching Assistant role, you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.
- Main responsibilities
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch-up sessions
Requirements or Skills
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- Must be reliable and punctual
