The Role
We are recruiting Autism Support Assistants for specialist SEN schools in West Drayton. You will be supporting autistic pupils—including non-verbal students and children with complex communication and sensory needs—in a nurturing, structured school environment.

Your Day-to-Day
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Work with non-verbal students using visual and communication aids
- Help with emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Encourage engagement in lessons and classroom activities
- Promote routine, structure, and independence
- Support smooth transitions throughout the school day
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Be a positive role model for patience, communication, and resilience
Who We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong interest in psychology, autism, mental health, or child development
- Experience in care, youth work, mentoring, SEN support, or community services (not essential - attitude matters more)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
- Emotional resilience and strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
No previous school experience? No problem.
