Milk Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic
SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school in Ashington from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
The successful candidate will work within the school's dedicated
SEN Hub , providing targeted support to small groups of pupils with a variety of special educational needs.
Although the school is a mainstream setting, a large number of pupils require additional support, creating a rewarding environment where you can make a genuine difference to children's learning, confidence and development.
The
Role
- Supporting small groups of pupils within the SEN Hub
- Providing tailored support for children with a range of additional needs
- Helping pupils engage with learning and develop their academic, social and emotional skills
- Working collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff and wider school teams
- Supporting pupils with their individual needs and learning goals
- Creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all learners
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable
- A patient, nurturing and understanding approach
- Experience within a school or educational setting
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
