Milk Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic

SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school in Ashington from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and committed individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work within the school's dedicated

SEN Hub , providing targeted support to small groups of pupils with a variety of special educational needs.

Although the school is a mainstream setting, a large number of pupils require additional support, creating a rewarding environment where you can make a genuine difference to children's learning, confidence and development.

The

Role

  • Supporting small groups of pupils within the SEN Hub
  • Providing tailored support for children with a range of additional needs
  • Helping pupils engage with learning and develop their academic, social and emotional skills
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff and wider school teams
  • Supporting pupils with their individual needs and learning goals
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all learners

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable
  • A patient, nurturing and understanding approach
  • Experience within a school or educational setting
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
