Milk Education are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Alnwick who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
The role will predominantly involve supporting children across KS1, with a particular focus on delivering and supporting targeted interventions to help children make progress.
The role
- Supporting pupils across KS1
- Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions
- Helping children develop their literacy and numeracy skills
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and during independent work
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
- Providing encouragement and helping children build confidence
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Has a good understanding of KS1
- Is confident supporting literacy and numeracy interventions
- Is patient, nurturing and encouraging
- Can build positive relationships with pupils
- Is reliable and able to commit to the role
Experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable, but we're also happy to consider candidates with recent and relevant childcare or education experience.
