We have a range of long-term, full-time opportunities available, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping to remove barriers to learning while creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils.
- Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and other additional learning needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote positive behaviour using consistent behaviour management strategies.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Support pupils with classroom routines, learning interventions, and educational activities.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Experience working within a Primary School, SEN School, Alternative Provision, Care, Youth Work, or Support Worker setting is advantageous.
- Understanding of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and challenging behaviour.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
