We are recruiting for Picker Packer roles for Home Bargains Omega Business Park, Burtonwood, Warrington.

The role requires previous direct experience doing order picking and using a LLOP or other FLTwithin a similar environment.

Requirements of a Parcel Sorter

  • Have recent and extended order picking experience in a similar setting.
  • Have successful experience driving the LLOPor FLT in a similar warehouse environment.
  • Motivated, organised and have good attention to meet daily KPIs and targets
  • Comfortable with physical work, including manual handling of varied weights and sizes to load and unload cages and pallets for Goods in and dispatch.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, 3 on 3 off shift pattern. The shift pattern will include some weekend work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English to operate the picking, headset, scanners and LLOP.
  • Have reliable transportation to commute to the site independently.

Contract Overview

  • Pay rate: Days £13.23 per hour , Nights: £15.74 . Inclusive of a 19% night shift allowance (10 PM to 6 AM)
  • Location: TJ Morris Omega Business Park, Burtonwood, Warrington, WA5 3AZ

• Hours of work

  • 3 on, 3 off - Static 12-hour shifts: Days 7 AM to 7 PM or Nights 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Duration: Ongoing contract
  • After 12 Weeks, Perm Opportunities are available

Role as a Parcel Sorter

  • Order picking using a headset and a scanner to instruct you on the product place, item and quantity for you to pick.
  • The warehouse operative will drive a LLOP to each picking location and will pack and stack all picked items into the LLOP cages.
  • All picked items must be picked and scanned from the correct area to ensure the customer orders are completed accurately.
  • Manually loading and unloading filled pallets and cages, from and onto trailers within the Goods in and dispatch department.
  • Manually prep empty cages for picking operatives.
  • Re-stacking and wrapping pallets to ensure safe transportation
  • Daily targets must be achieved.

Therefore, this role is working in a fast-paced environment where precision, speed and consistency are key to hitting the targets and being successful.

  • Manually handling items of different weights and sizes - such as drink multi-packs, food items, garden items, suitcases or cleaning products.
  • The manual handling involves picking and stacking the items correctly in the cages.

Moving pallets, moving filled cages off the LLOP to the loading area, and re-stacking pallets to ensure safe transportation if needed.
