Overview For Counterbalance

AM 2 PM Group is seeking dedicated and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client's energetic and fast-growing warehouse team based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for contributing to a dynamic distribution environment.

Pay Rate: £13.50 an hour (Plus a big opportunity for overtime-£20.25 rate)
Employment Type: Full-Time (opportunities for permanent placement)
Location: Queenslie

Shift Time: 7am - 3pm Moday to Friday

Responsibilities For A Forklift Driver

  • Safely and efficiently operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks to support daily warehouse operations.
  • Transport and store pallets into appropriate shelving within racking systems.
  • Load and unload vehicles promptly and securely.
  • Accurately pick, replenish, and prepare stock to meet operational or customer requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety (H&S) standards and follow best practices at all times.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to meet daily team KPIs and deadlines.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.

Qualifications Of A Forklift Driver

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria

  • Proven experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Possession of a valid
  • Counterbalance License and reach licence
  • Solid understanding of health and safety protocols within warehouse operations.
  • Physically fit and adaptable to a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to pass a drugs and alcohol test as required.
  • Flexible availability, including willingness to work various shifts.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is advantageous.

Your typical day will involve

  • Preparing the warehouse for daily operations and equipment inspections.

  • Ensuring adherence to all safety standards while maintaining high efficiency and performance.
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Supporting other warehouse functions during peak times, ensuring seamless workflow.
