We are proud to be working in partnership with our client, a rapidly expanding supply chain specialist, in their search for a Logistics Coordinator. Requirements of a Logistics Coordinator:

  • You will ideally have experience within a transport office and will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and to deadlines.
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is expected and essential to the role.

Details:

  • Initial 3 week training programme on site at Corby. Expenses will be covered for this.
  • Β£32k plus shift allowance of Β£3,900.
  • 4 on 4 off rotating days/nights on 12 hour shifts - 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.
  • On site parking.
  • Company pension.

The role of Logistics Coordinator:

  • The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring transportation operations to ensure efficient, timely delivery of goods.
  • This role involves liaising with drivers and internal teams to maintain smooth logistics operations.
  • Raising cases and issues with external contractors, suppliers and customers through systems supplied, constantly monitoring progress.
  • Checking out vehicles, ensuring driver details and inventory match the system.
  • Liaising with warehouse, security team, driver and clients via phone and email.
  • Communicate with warehouse team to prioritise shunter moves.
  • Ensuring all vehicles are secure when leaving site and full details are logged.
  • Monitoring vehicle locations.
  • Ensuring thorough handover with colleagues at the end of shift.
  • Resolving issues and updating systems.
