We are recruiting for Automotive Trimmer roles supporting the manufacture and development of premium vehicle interior components in Coventry. This opportunity is suitable for experienced automotive trimmers as well as candidates with relevant skills who are looking to develop within a specialist trim environment.
Requirements of an Automotive Leather Trimmer:
- Previous automotive trimming, upholstery or interior trim experience is preferred
- Experience working with leather, vinyl, Alcantara or technical fabrics is desirable
- Experience in cutting, lamination, sewing or interior trim assembly is beneficial
- Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
- Able to work accurately to high quality standards
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work early morning shifts
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Candidates with limited relevant experience may be considered, with training available for the right person

Role of an Automotive Leather Trimmer:
- Hand-wrapping, stretching and fitting natural leather and vinyl onto automotive interior components
- Trimming and finishing door panels, dashboards, centre consoles and interior trim assemblies
- Cutting, laminating and sewing leather and technical fabrics using manual and machine methods
- Preparing materials and components before final assembly
- Supporting prototype and development trim builds for new vehicle programmes
- Working from trim patterns, technical drawings and work instructions
- Inspecting materials and finished components to ensure quality standards are met
- Identifying and reporting defects or quality concerns
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
