We are excited to represent our Manchester based client, a leading manufacturer with worldwide distribution links, in recruiting for a Component General Manager. The Role You will be responsible for the daily running of the manufacturing and assembly functions of the company, managing staff and ensuring targets are achieved. A hands on approach is essential, along with the ability to manage material resources and adequate shift cover. You will oversee and create scheduled plans to ensure the efficient running of departments within the Components division. Production planning and scheduling will be documented on an in house system. The Person You will have a strong background within manufacturing and will be able to demonstrate experience within production planning, supply chain management and forecasting. Experience with Microsoft office including Excel and outlook is expected. Technically minded, you will be ably to read and interpret engineering drawings. An understanding of the injection moulding process and lean manufacturing is advantageous.
