We are currently recruiting for experienced Yard Operatives / FLT Drivers to join a busy manufacturing and distribution operation in Chorley. These are temporary-to-permanent opportunities for reliable and hardworking candidates looking to join a growing business.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

About the Role: Working within the yard and dispatch operation, you will be responsible for accurately picking, loading and moving products while ensuring all health and safety standards are maintained. This is a physically active role requiring excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting warehouse and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking customer orders accurately from the yard and warehouse areas
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Operating Counterbalance FLT equipment
  • Moving stock and finished products throughout the site
  • Conducting daily vehicle and equipment checks
  • Ensuring products are loaded correctly and secured for transport
  • Maintaining stock accuracy and completing relevant paperwork
  • Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe
  • Working closely with production, warehouse and transport teams

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or distribution environment
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-date or recently expired considered)
  • Experience with picking and loading operations
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping
